Building bridges
In her latest column, sector expert Elfriede Dambacher explains why international dialogue and networking are so important, especially in a market that is experiencing rapid change and increasing differentiation. Just like sharing authenticity and building bridges for a sustainable future are.
Be community! It wasn't just this panel discussion at 2024’s VIVANESS that showed how much the natural and organic cosmetics market is changing and how important international dialogue is. One long-standing exhibitor put it in a nutshell for me: he has gone home smarter from every trade fair, which is why it is important for him to be there every year. I feel the same way, even if the image of the exhibitors is changing. This year's VIVANESS Congress was so packed with interesting topics that we ran out of time to hold all the planned discussions. Networking on site is particularly valuable and more necessary than ever in view of the changes facing the natural and organic cosmetics industry. After years of market development, an ever-increasing differentiation can now be observed. Natural and organic cosmetics now have to be measured against different standards than when the sector was first established. Looking at the trend categories alone, which are defined by a jury of experts every year, it becomes clear how much the industry is changing. In addition to the demand for comparable sensory product experiences and innovations that bring more sustainability into the bathroom, it is above all a matter of communicating one's own authenticity in a credible and transparent manner. As products become increasingly comparable, it's all about the story behind the products. Making this authenticity tangible is a key success factor for the near future. And it is better to do this together instead of remaining isolated. Therefore: Be community! Be a part of it and build bridges so that more and more people can experience the added value of natural and organic cosmetics.
Save the date: The next VIVANESS will take place as part of BIOFACH from 11-14 February 2025 in Nuremberg in Hall 4A.
